Rob Miles Jr. is a native Texan, a graduate of Albert Sidney Johnston High School, and a Vietnam era veteran. He studied part-time courses at TSTI-Waco, and Austin Community College. Rob discovered art at an early age. He credits his 4th grade teacher with instilling a love of art and music in him. Sculpture was not his first endeavor, but quickly became his medium of choice. He describes himself as self-taught...his friends would describe him as brilliant!
As an artist, he enjoys creating in the abstract and surreal realm of nature. Each sculpture is unique. Rob often lets the wood tell him what it desires to be...fluid, graceful, or even sharp and juxtaposed in combination with other materials.
His trademark reverse "R" signature appears on all completed works of art.
